PacMan, Prosecco pong, pizza and pop songs

The Roxy revolution looks set to continue this year as the company have announced a new concept within popular nightlife spot Merrion Street.  Currently running as sister bar Loop, the premises are undergoing a revamp to become Roxy Arcade, a gaming-focused night-time hotspot.

The tunnel between Roxy Ball Room and the Arcade will remain intact for good

The new launch will see over 25 gaming machines brought in, including two pinball machines, Space Invaders and twin Fast and Furious Super Bikes. The karaoke booths will be available for hire as console rooms, where hardcore gamers can enjoy an evening of modern day and retro classics.

But karaoke fans need not worry; as the booths will still be available for hire for epic all-night singsongs. And even better news is that the tunnel between Roxy Ball Room and the Arcade will remain intact for good, meaning that the venue has it all: food, drink, beer and prosecco pong plus a more than reasonable smattering of arcade classics.

The Arcade itself will run the same pizza, snacks and beer menu as its sibling meaning that punters will have double the space to get fed and watered in good time, and keep the Roxy party going.

Brand Development Manager Joel Mitchell said, We’ve been blown away with the response to Roxy Ball Room and Loop, but we’re always striving to make the Roxy experience bigger and better for our loyal followers. Combining the two venues and adding a host of arcade machines might not be rocket science, but we believe it will instantly make us the hottest ticket in town for entertainment.

Roxy Arcade is planning an August bank holiday opening.
