Restaurants, galleries and shops unite online with ‘Inspire Me at Home’ lockdown campaign

Although Liverpool’s residents and tourists are staying at home to comply with the UK’s lockdown, they can now still be inspired by engaging content from some of the Dock’s popular restaurants, galleries and shops.

The new ‘Inspire Me at Home’ campaign, which can be found on the Royal Albert Dock’s website, includes try-at-home recipes, online shopping and virtual museum tours.

Maray’s founders have been generously sharing recipes from some of their most popular dishes so fans can have a go at making them from their own homes. Try your hand at the now legendary ‘Disco Cauliflower’ as well as where it all started for the team, falafel and some very special cocktails.

Culture at the Albert Dock is well covered with Merseyside Maritime Museum and Tate Liverpool. Tate’s virtual tour is not to be missed which takes in the current Constellations exhibition with works from Rothko and L.S. Lowry amongst others.

Kids can get involved with Tate Gallery too, with a dedicated web page, encouraging them to create, play and explore art. Quizzes, workshops and even how to make Pop Art like Warhol can be integrated into their home schooling schedule.

National Museums Liverpool has launched a project for four to 11 year olds, who can curate their own exhibition. The idea to find objects that are important to them from around their world, #MyHomeIsMyMuseum hashtag is gaining popularity online. Alternatively, continue to enjoy the Museum experience virtually, through a tour of the International Slavery Museum, located on the third floor of Merseyside Maritime Museum.
